Penelope Jencks
Penelope Jencks is the American sculptor who made the statue of Eleanor Roosevelt in Riverside Park.
Jencks, who studied at the Boston University College of Fine Arts, has been a sculptore for more than 30 years. She is credited numerous public monuments (eight are listed by the Smithsonian's online catalog), including the bronze of the historian Samuel Eliot Morrison in Boston.
