Union Square
Union Square, a usually crowded destination park in the neighborhood north of New York University that is famous for its farmers market, is home to four historical monuments.
- The leader of Indian independence Mohandas Gandhi
- The Revolutionary War hero the Marquis de Lafayette
- Abraham Lincoln, one of three statues of him in the city
- And the equestrian statue of George Washington, pictured above, one of six in the city of him.
